This listing is for a 24KGP gold plated high-purity zinc alloy sake cup. This type of cup is called a sakazuki, which means a flat traditional style of sake cup. Sakazuki are mainly reserved for ceremonial use at weddings or other special occasions such as the tea ceremony. The cup in this listing features a snake and koban gold coins and was most likely made to commemorate the Year of the Snake back in 2001 or 2013.  The bottom is marked with 24KGP, and it comes with its original wooden storage box.  It also comes with a turmeric coloured wrapping cloth, as well as a plastic stand and a Japanese language profile paper about the materials and manufacturing process.
