This listing is for a reasonably large woven basket made around 70 years ago.  It is made of bamboo and has a rotund barrel shape with a large rim.  This piece was made for functional purposes and has a lovely mingei vibe about it.  It would be ideal for displaying dried flowers or for popping on a high shelf as in a rural kitchen or for display out on a back porch.

Condition

This particular item is OLD and there is some broken bamboo on the sides (not much and not serious) and on the four corners on the bottom.  The rim is in good condition, also there is writing in pen on the bottom.  The basket is discoloured from age but it’s still a very strong and sturdy basket.
