This listing is for a lightweight kitsune mask covered with a thin layer of washi paper.  During festivals in Japan it’s possible to see people wearing yukata and kitsune masks, particularly at harvest festivals with Shinto origins.  Kitsune are believed to be messengers of Inari, the Shinto god associated with agriculture and protector of rice.  Also visitors at popular tourist spots like Kyoto and Kawagoe can purchase masks and wear them just for fun.  The mask in this listing was purchased as a souvenir and never worn.  It can be worn or displayed on a wall, it’s basically in mint condition.
