This listing is for a reasonably large Hotei kibori okimono made about 70-80 years ago. Hotei is one of the ‘shichifukujin’ seven gods of fortune. He is commonly depicted as bald, smiling, with a big belly, bulging ears, and a large sack slung over his shoulder.  The Hotei in this listing is carved from a single block of wood and has a natural unpainted finish.  He has a sack of coins in his left hand, and he’s holding a basket of coins in his other hand.  Please note that this item is rather heavy, please inquire about faster shipping if interested.
