This listing is for a delightful Nambu tekki wind chime made around 20 years ago. It is made of iron and decorated with a depiction of Mt. Fuji. There is a metal clapper underneath to create sound from the chime, and a long paper attached to the clapper to catch the wind. A lovely item for outdoor use on a patio or porch. It comes with its original paper box. 

Nambu tekki refers to iron-ware produced in the Tohoku region of Japan. Craftsmen use traditional techniques which can involve anywhere from 64 to 68 steps to complete one item. Most of this process is still done by hand and it is strictly controlled by the master craftsman. It takes at least 15 years to fulfill the role of head craftsman, and this role is not taken lightly, so you can be assured that each piece is of the highest quality.
