This listing is for a 100 tines nodate chasen tea whisk. The chasen is tulip shaped and split from one piece of bamboo into 100 small prongs. Most chasen tend to have 80 tines or less. The 100 tine type are considered to be better quality because more prongs result in more foam and a better frothy texture.  Please note that nodate are chasen are smaller than the regular type, please look at the group photo for comparison.  **You may receive a chasen with a different plastic case depending on what my supplier sends me.
