This listing is for a red oni wall hanging made around 5 years ago. It is made of plaster and painted bright colours like folk crafts from the 1950s and 60s. The string part is made out of rice straw, and sits nice and flat on the wall. It would make a great gift for oni fans or for those with an interest in curious beasts.

An oni is a kind of demon or devil regularly depicted in Japanese folklore. Depictions of oni vary but they are usually ogre-like creatures with sharp claws, wild hair, and two long horns growing from their heads. They are pretty much considered humanoid although their skin may be red, green or blue.
