This listing is for a very small maneki-neko made around 10 years ago. A maneki-neko is a beckoning cat and it is believed to bring good luck to its owner, so they are a very common sight in stores and restaurants. It has been made using a press mould and has a gold bell on the collar around its neck. This particular type has eyebrows and fluorescent yellow eyes, and they’re found at Gotokuji Temple in Tokyo. Gotokuji is a Buddhist temple and said to be the birthplace of maneki neko.
