This listing is for a small Irabo glaze chawan made around 20-30 years ago.  It is wheel-thrown and the flat hira type used during the summer season. Hira chawan are shallow bowls with low sides designed to cool tea down faster. This particular bowl is thin walled and lightweight, and it has a silver circle pattern on the interior.  This piece is ideal for drinking tea during warm weather.  The stamp of the potter can be found on the bottom, sorry no box for this one.

Irabo-ware refers to stoneware of Korean origin that was first introduced to Japan in the 1600s. Irabo pieces tend to have a slightly rough surface, and this is largely because the clay is coarse and the glaze thin. This particular type of ware was originally intended for making tea vessels, and it was produced for the masses. These days Irabo-ware is appreciated for its simplicity and commands high prices.
