This listing is for a SMALL Showa retro maneki money box.  A maneki-neko is a beckoning cat and it is believed to bring good luck to its owner, so they are a very common sight in stores and restaurants.  Cats with their right paw raised are considered to be ones that bring money, and cats with their left paw raised are considered to be ones that bring customers.  The maneki in this listing is gold and has a small slot in the back for coins.  There’s no stopper in the bottom, but there’s a hole so loose change can be emptied by removing the felt on the bottom.

It’s in decent condition aside from some light scratches, a black mark on the back, and some scuffing.
