This listing is for a stainless steel matcha sieve with paper storage box.  Matcha powder is scooped into the mesh and strained by the vibration of the metal fittings.  Straining matcha before preparing tea breaks up lumps and enhances the flavour of the tea. 

How to use:

1. Place the mesh and metal fittings in the tea sieve can.
2. Fill the mesh halfway with about 5 to 6 scoops of matcha and close the lid properly.
3. Hold the lid and shake sideways several times, then shake in a circular motion.
4. Open the lid and prepare your tea.

Stainless steel is durable and rust-resistant.  Be sure to shake sideways and not up and down.  Shaking up and down will cause powder to spill out of the can upon opening it.  Overfilling the mesh will also result in spills.  This item sieves approximately 30 grams of matcha powder per use.
