This listing is for a Showa retro tinplate box made around 50-60 years ago by Kono Copper and Steel Co.,Ltd.  Kono Copper and Steel is located in Hitachinaka city in Ibaraki Prefecture, and during the Showa period they produced tinplate items branded as Tokyo Kono.  This particular item is multi-purpose and would make a great collector’s item.  The handles on the side work as they should, and the original Tokyo Kono label is still attached to the front.

Condition

There are very small spots of surface rust on the interior and exterior, one larger patch can be found on the side (pictured).  There’s a faint circle mark on the lid, no dents or bent parts.
