This listing is for a vintage hishaku made in Japan. A hishaku is a water ladle that is used to transfer hot water from the kama to the chawan when making tea. It is also used to scoop water from the mizusashi to the kama. The hishaku in this listing is the furo season type which is the one used during the summer season. It is thin walled, lightweight and easy to dry. It is quite common for people to use this style of hishaku year round.
