This listing is for a vintage box and tray made around 30-40 years ago.  It is made of paulownia wood and the box part is decorated with a relief carving of bamboo.  The bamboo design was carved into the surface and then filled/covered with different colours of fabric resembling chirimen or silk.  It would look lovely on a dresser and it’s about the right size for holding items like rings or hair accessories.

Tray:  H.1.7cm (0.6”) x L.16.1cm (6.3”) x W.14.1cm (5.5”)                                                        

Condition

It’s in very good condition aside from being a little spotty, particularly on the bottom of the box.
