This listing is for a vintage tanzakubako made around 20 years ago.  A tanzakubako is a rectangular wooden box usually made of paulownia for storing tea utensils. The box in this listing is made of paulownia and has a lid that opens from the top, and the interior features shelves and a drawer for holding tea utensils.  It has a nice clean interior and comes with a paper storage box.

Tanzakubako:  H.50.8cm (20”) x 17.8cm (7”) across x 18.2cm (7.1”) from back to front         

Condition

It’s in very good condition, its biggest issue is the handle on the front of the lid is missing the metal pull flap.  It’s still possible to slide the lid in and out, but it would of course be better if it had the pull flap.  Also the handle on top of the box is slightly tarnished.
