This listing is for a vintage wooden vase made around 20 years ago.  It is coated in lacquer and the front is decorated with a red bamboo design.  Red bamboo is a popular motif because it symbolises good luck in Chinese culture, and it’s a symbol of courage and bravery in Japan.  The writing carved on the back indicates that this was a memorial gift.  It comes with a plastic insert on the interior that can be taken in and out.

It’s in very good condition aside from some light scratches, dents.
