This listing is for a small production-ware Yixing style teapot made around 20 years ago. It has a smooth 'purple zisha' finish and the lid is decorated with a goldfish. It has a capacity of 230ml, please note however that the interior does not have a built-in strainer over the spout area. This piece has a slightly waxy and stained finish suggesting that it may have been polished with something, it is possibly better to use it for display only. The stamp of the maker can be found on the bottom.
Yixing refers to wares made from Yixing clay in the eastern Chinese province of Jiangsu. This particular type of clay is commonly used for the production of teapots. The best teapots are made from purple zisha clay because of its excellent porosity and heat handling properties.

Condition
It has surface imperfections and there’s a small firing crack on the rim of the pot. Also the exterior has been polished with something which has left discolouration on the handle and around the rim.
